My church sponsors a missionary, Laura, who works in the Ukraine. She send this request back to our church and to those who can help:
"There are 70 orphans who need sponsorship for some of the necessities of life. In the Ukraine, the orphanage "graduates" their 16-year olds. Many struggle to support themselves. Imagine being told to leave your home on your 16th birthday to fend for yourselves. You can help by giving a financial gift or filling a backpack that will be given to these teens. In order for us to deliver them in time, they must be sent to your church by the Sunday after Valentine's day (22 February) for shipment to be received by Easter."
