My name is Larry Lovering, and I live in Connecticut. My wife and true love of twenty years, Joann, passed away on August 26, 2001. Please read her beautiful testimony about living with ovarian cancer. Her memorial page is here.
Joann was the inspiration for South Station, with her page. It was her desire to spread the word about women who are sometimes taken advantage of by doctors who believe there is nothing wrong with them. She participated in many of my interests, and a site of links to all over the internet reminded us of a train station.
Why is the site called South Station? South Station in Boston, Massachusetts was once one of the busiest train stations in the country. It was a "hub" of tracks to everywhere someone could dream about. So, I hope you'll use Southstation.org as a "hub" of links to the sites we enjoy most and you may find helpful. For information on the "real" South Station in Boston, click here for a history site. For some more pictures of South Station, check out the page on South Station.
I have a variety of interests, including trains, automating my home, listening to the radio, collecting and "spinning" records, listening to music on the computer, digital photography, and radio scanning. Coming soon is a page devoted to digital video and my "experiments" with this fantastic technology. But above all, is my personal devotion to my Lord and Savior, without whom I would be lost forever.
Listen to the hits of the 50s, 60s and 70s on my internet radio station, Hits of Yesterday!
I'd appreciate if you find links that don't work or things that don't seem right,
let me know and check back often.
