Where Was I????

A few things that have bothered me lately:

10. Last I knew, the population of this country was 200 million or so. Today I heard that it was 295 million. How did 95 million people get by me?
9. It's winter in New England. How come the ducks haven't flown south yet? I saw some today in a flooded field that ices over (if it ices over) at this time of year. The ducks were bobbing and weaving for food. What food?
8. A TV commercial today says that 900,000 IT jobs will be created this year. And this past year, over 2.6 million IT jobs went by-bye. Do the math.
7. Today, Ephedra was taken off the market. What took the government so long?
6. The Beagle II hasn't said a peep since it reached Mars. Can you say, it crashed? I mean, it was the Yugo of space vehicles.
5. Prozac is the num..be....r...what?
4. The government is warning us against people carrying almanacs. Almanacs. Apparently, back in World War II, a couple of German agents surripticiously arrived on Long Island shores and took the LIRR toward New York City. When they were arrested, they had copies of the Old Farmer's Almanac. So, the goverment told the publishers of that same almanac to cease publishing for the duration of the war. Maybe those Germans wanted to start a farm??
3. I took a walk and passed a house in a faux-upscale neighborhood and smelled marijuana. When did this come back?
2. Why did Meg Ryan bare all and more in her latest movie? And what happened to her lips?
1. Where was I when all this was happening?
