Saturday morning here at the blog house, and I've been looking for a few things to spice up our 30th reunion, and ran across this site: 20 Things That Only Happen In Movies - Nostalgia Central

Another calm day before the storm. Most of the snow we got last week is gone now, and the new storm will dump six to eight inches before a changeover to rain. Whoopee.

I have been reflecting on this past year, one that has shown some growth in my spiritual walk as I learn to full trust the Lord in everything. It hasn't been easy, weathering the loss of my wife still, accepting the certainty of singleness, and working hard with Andy and his school problems. The verse that I claim returns to my memory every time I feel abondoned in thought: Jeremiah 29:11-13; "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. "

I hope that in my own life that I have been a light to some this past year, in service to Him in the many things I have been involved in. I don't honestly know how I will be able to work and do these things, but those that matter much to others will get done. So, my involvement with Habitat for Humanity, the reunion and my single parents group at church will continue regardless.

I am heartened at this time of year to see how the Lord is working, and so encouraged by finding more of my friends that have accepted Jesus as their Savior too! I'm also happy that there are friends in the blog world that aren't afraid to talk about their spirituality in the open Internet forums of blogging, people like Dawn, Irene, Mike Adams and Michael Williams. And to the writers who constantly uphold the Christian viewpoint in the media, such as Kevin McCullough and Dr. R. Albert Mohler.

Christmas music is constantly on in the blog house, and beginning tomorrow night, you can listen to what I'm listening to on Live365.com. Free registration and possibly a safe download of their player is required. Right now, I'm listening to Kenny Rankin's Christmas Album, a wonderful collection done in Kenny's soothing style.

It looks like I will get a Christmas tree this year. I'm hosting a Christmas party for my single parents group on Saturday and will have a tree up by then. I do like the way the garlands look this year, and still need to put out the Kincaide Christmas village.

À la prochaine!
