The result of the FCC stand on what is obcenity (as far as I can tell, you can't say anything in a sexual or excretory organ manner, but everything else is alright) has taken hold as the entertainment industry runs with this new-found "freedom."
Wednesday night, on the Billboard Music Awards, on the Fox network (no surprise to me,) allowed this conversation between two two women (for who one trouble is spelled with a capital T;) Nicole Richey, talking with Paris Hilton, said: "Yea, instead of standing in mud and cows—t. Why do they even call it the simple life? Have you ever tried to get cow sh-t out of a Prada purse? It’s not that fu--ing simple." This an obvious comment on the Fox show that put Ms. Hilton in rural Alabama to live out that simple life for a reality TV show. The slippery slope, my friends. There's still time to write the FCC and your congressional representatives.
My son has gotten the bug that is apparently going around. I'm frantic, washing my hands every ten minutes and Lysoling every thing he touches. Out of school today, and I'm missing my Christmas party in another country (actually Quebec) this weekend. I think one the worst things in the world is the look of helplessness on a child's face when they are not feeling well.
Abercrombie & Fitch has apparently pulled the plug on its quarterly catalogs. It remains to be seen how long this will last. The stock price has dropped over 10% and same store sales over 13%.
